Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Stratford

Did you know Stratford, CT has been an affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library since 2019? What does this mean? It means children who live in Stratford, aged 0 – 5, can be registered to receive a high-quality, age-appropriate book in the mail each month from Dolly….and it’s absolutely FREE to the families. As the Coordinator of this remarkable program, I am thrilled help give the gift of reading to Stratford’s young children. Being read aloud to by a caring adult greatly increases early literacy skills and provides a sense of well-being to a young child. Reading ability is the best indicator of academic success a child can receive. Registration can be completed online at www.imaginationlibrary.com or by picking up a registration form at the Stratford Library, Stratford, YMCA, Sterling House, Stratford Recreation, Southend Community Center, or Town Hall.
